osViews.com and osRadio.com are among the growing number of sites that have chosen to adopt an open content copyright policy.
What open content does, is build upon the Open Source Software policy that is currently taking the world by storm. Open Content removes any copyright infringement violations that might have previously been incurred if written or broadcast content were borrowed from osViews.com or osRadio.com without written permission.
osViews and osRadio are written for the people, by the people. Because of this, the content we publish can (and is) often regarded as a barometer that reflects the thoughts of the greater technology-focused computing populace. We feel It is more important to spread these individual's editorial efforts as far as possible without restrictions.
Any individual, news organization or media outlet may republish entire articles or partial pieces of text or audio content from osViews.com or osRadio.com. In return for this service, we request that you follow the following guidelines:
1) (Electronic text media) A hypertext link pointing to the publishing domain must be placed in a prominent position on the electronic page, along with the author's name and e-mail address along with the following text, "This article was syndicated under (publishing site's name)'s Open Content License."
(Static media) A textual reference pointing to the publishing domain must be placed in a prominent position on the page, along with the author's name and e-mail address along with the following text, "This article was syndicated under (publishing site's name)'s Open Content License.".
(Audio) A vocal mention must direct the listener to the publishing domain, the author's name must be mentioned and a voice must say the following, "This article was syndicated under (publishing site's name)'s Open Content License."
2) Do not alter the content in any way without expressed written authorization from the publishing site.
3) If a published work on osViews.com or osRadio.com references an alternate license, please abide by the requirements of that license over those mentioned above.
4) Do not re-publish aggregated headlines. (content consisting of a hyperlink and one - three paragraphs of text lifted from an external content source) This is not our content to give you.
